“What do I do?”
This question crops up for nearly everyone on an allyship journey. And while many organizations and individuals have participated in DEI trainings that educate and encourage conversations about diversity and inclusion, we know that conversations alone aren’t sufficient. Real change requires ongoing, strategic, effective action
This workshop is designed to help participants move beyond conversations and good intentions into proactive, effective action. Participants will develop a personalized ally action plan to improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to act effectively as an ally.
Participants will:
Identify and map their personal sources of power and privilege
Learn a framework for assessing and improving allyship skills
Assess their own strengths and weaknesses
Generate and develop ideas for building their effectiveness
Set personal, measurable allyship goals
Create a personal allyship action plan
